Well...what a shock.

I love how state and city administrators, the Texas and national media sources politely ignore that illegals are a burden on the budget.  All the facts are there, go see for yourself.   This report is part of an in-depth analysis.

  1. Shocked I tell you! Shocked and appalled to learn this!

We've know about this for many a year now here in Arizona. Now if we could just find some way to keep the drug war from spilling over the border....

  2. Both Republican and Democrats have known about this issue for years. I guess one of the larger problems now is that the people hopping the border are not learning English, they aren't adapting, and they STAY one welfare and burden all other social services while continuing to act in ways we see (and the law sees) as immoral and criminal.

We in San Antonio have issues directly related to border problems including gang violence, human trafficking, and DUIs out the ying yang. Pair that with burdening our social services, and you have a recipe for disaster.

  3. This is something we've been preaching to the choir about for years. The facts in that report will be ignored by those who are in favor of open borders and free goodies for all.

  4. The thing that irks me is that we've just cut billions in education spending. Why do we have to give social services to those here illegally? Could it also be (yes) that they are overburdening our schools and medical system while producing less than they consume?

  5. How many native-born Texas receive welfare, comapred to immigrants?

  6. I would normally think that is a fair question, but we are talking about people who are here illegally sucking off of the government teat. Our budget needs to be balanced and Texas dems are making hey out of cuts to the budget and want to dig into the rainy day fund (which is for disasters (obama doesn't consider our fires a disaster but still doesn't mind coming here to pander to illegals and shit on us all at the same time) good thing we've stopped them from spending it). So, in this, I consider it a separate issue. We do need to get our social spending in order as a nation. But I will take deportation and enforcement of the border and a legal and limited number of people coming into this country. And, yes, it should be people who contribute more than DUIs and other assorted crimes such as human trafficking and drugs.

  7. Don't forget the media's almost universal lack of coverage on the drug cartel war waging across most of the Sonora and Baja. It's an "inconvenient truth" to a president determined to garner more votes from illegals.

  8. Hell, I expect no less from a media that lives in an ivory tower.
