The left, the right

I just read something very enlightening on a USA Today comments section:

When the left talked about Bush, it was personal. When the right talks about obama, it's about flawed policies.

Well unless USA Today is being sarcastic I would have to agree. Even the fellas over at HillBuzz offer their sincere apologies and thank-yous.

Aunti Mame: Sir! You don't HAVE character (right). You ARE a character (left).

what else is new? All the radical liberals on these boards who are blindly spewing hate towards republicans are sicko's. And I don't think I have to mention any names.

Helloooo...... Mr. President, are you listening??

If so, who the hell are you listening to?
Because you are destroying this country daily. But then again, I think that's your plan. It seems to me that he really hates America and wants to put us in chaos.
We're giving enemy combatants all the protections inherent in the Constitution? Obama; you are an anti-American, terrorist sympathizing, coward!

Exactly what I have been saying for years.

I dunno, Blue. I think both are guilty of doing both. I heard a lot of personal attacks about Bush, but I heard a lot about failed policies. He DID start two wars and he did start the bailouts.

I hear both about Obama. He's got some sh*tty policies. But I've heard a ton of personal attacks, too (comments about Michelle Obama's behind, anyone?)

I'd have to say that both sides, at least the hyperpartisan types that tend to troll, er, I mean "blog", tend to have personal attacks on whichever president they didn't vote for.

Michelle has nothing to do with it. Bush didn't start two wars, it takes congress to do that, though most of them try to cover up the fact that they voted both 'wars' into play. Now they are trying to duck their earlier statements about Afghanistan being the 'just war'. The one thing that Bush is guilty of is continuing much of the failed domestic policies carried over from the Clinton administration.

Hyperpartisan aside, since I don't count that pov, the standard for the conservatives is exactly as I said. The standard for the liberal-progressive is exactly as I said.

I was appalled at the
lack of professionalism,

All I could imagine was this person behaving this way in front of the world on issues of vital global importance.

Sounds to me like your talking about OBAMA!

Eh? What?

Seems like the USA TODAY got it right. Did anyone see a pig flying today?
Us people on the right try not to attack people personally, but we do attack their flawed policies with a vengeance. Sometimes we make fun of them because of the policies they spew from their mouths but not them personally, and expecially not their families.

Bush experienced quite vile and vehement personal attacks from the left. Bluepitbill, your correct. The left try and paint Bush as a dictator, but he in fact got the cooperation and approval of congress to go into both Iraq and Afghanistan.

Bingo, Bluepit. Funny, too, that GWB was fair game for 'personal' attacks & for those, as horrible as they were, NOBODY was accused of being racist.
