No, Arlen....Come Back......

Good riddance. If anything, we should send McCain and Snow with him, too.

Two points:

1. We need term limits, and we need them last year.

2. Arlen should not be allowed to switch parties (even thought I don't care). His constituents voted him in as a Republican, not a Democrat. There should be a law that holds him to the party until re-election, then he can choose to run Democrat.

That is all. If you come here to gloat, go right ahead. I'm a Christian first. An American second. I'm a Conservative third. And I'm a Republican last as far as that goes.

The Conservative movement WILL be based in the Republican party. It has no where else to go. It is now incumbent upon voters, as it always has been, to study the voting records of the people they put in office. Take them to task if you disagree with them, but make them remember why they are there; to make you're voice heard.

It's good to see this asshat show his true colors. We are better off without him.

Agreed, Soldier.

I hope conservatives can break out into a new stronger party, like say, Libertarian.

Hmmm.

I am glad he's not trying to represent conservatives, but I agree, he shouldn't be able to switch party affiliations until election time. Term limits are a must. Since congress won't impose term limits on itself, any ideas on how we could actually go about getting this done? Great post!

That seems to be the trillion dollar question, doesn't it? How do we impose term limits when the people voting for them would be limiting their 'service' to our nation.

Spector was never a conservative, and I agree that he should be able to switch parties.

The only term limits I'm in favor of are at the ballot box. They have mandatory term limits in CA and it's just a game of musical chairs. Besides, when you get a good Senator or House Member, do you really want them gone? If they are bad...vote them out.

Grandma J - Sadly, even if they are good, they tend to forget why they were sent to Washington in the first place after a while. I could be wrong about that, but, for my money term limits are a means to ending long-term corruption.

This is not a surprise to me; he's always been a liberal. I say "good riddance." Off hand, were it not for the ACORN group in Philadelphia and Pittsburg, I'd say the GOP nominee has a pretty good chance in 2010. With ACORN, corruption being what it is, PA conservatives don't stand a snowballs chance in hell.

you forgot to add collins to your "list" pitbull... he he... and i wonder how a conservative movement (of the people) will take shape....

Yes, Susan Collins, as well. There are actually many more. To me, it boils down to them saving their own butts and forgetting why they were sent there.

I am hearing that the government (obama) is thinking about making kids go to school on the weekends so they will have something to do instead of hanging out and getting into trouble.. Don't know if it's true, but I read it on the internet, so it must be.... right..
